It’s already June, you guys…
I feel like I need to say that again. It’s. Already. June. Where did the year go?!? And you know what June means? It is officially swimsuit season! Did it sneak up on you like it did me? (I tried to say snuck up, but my spell check isn’t liking that word… Snuck? Sneaked? Whatever.)
In a last minute effort to actually look semi-decent at the pool this year, I’m kicking my workouts up a notch. Normally I wouldn’t care as much, but since I am the manager of my apartment complex, I know EVERYONE at the pool and usually end up talking with every person there and so I’d like it to be a pleasant experience for everyone involved.
I’m re-doing the C25K program (free app on your phone!) but can’t go running every day (1. I don’t even know if you’re supposed to, 2. I have holes in my shin bones and my doctor said that consistent running-like activity would eventually make my leg break- true story, and 3. I’m just that out of shape) so on my “off days” I’m doing cross-training on the elliptical.
I know what you’re thinking: “But the elliptical is SOOOOOOOOO boring I can’t stand to be on it for more than 6 minutes!” Trust me, that was my thought process, too. So I came up with a circuit that works your whole body, works in some cardio, and you’re only on the elliptical for 6 minutes at a time! Hooray!
It’s a short, easy workout that you can do it 25 minutes or less and actually works up a good sweat! Give it a try and let me know what you think!
