I’m a Business Lady

Greetings from San Diego! I feel like such a business lady travelling for work and staying in a hotel and getting to explore. I’m currently in my hotel room watching HGTV (and loving it!) and unwinding from my day. I am out here for work and couldn’t be happier about it! I am still going to be working in the Dallas office, but my manager is still out in San Diego so I have to come out here for training. I have no choice…. how great is that?!? Today was pretty great, but first I have to tell a story about my travels here. It’s been an interesting journey.

I didn’t get a direct flight in, so I was supposed to fly DFW>LAX>SAN. I made it to LA, but then my flight to San Diego got delayed a few minutes… and then delayed 30 minutes… and then delayed an hour… and then cancelled. CANCELLED! There were only about 30 people on that flight, so the airline said they would get a charter bus and take all of us down to the San Diego airport. So we waited. And waited. And waited. And then an hour later they said nope, jk, we aren’t getting a charter bus, and everyone will need to find their own way. Awesome. I had a rental car reservation at the San Diego airport, and thankfully I was able to use that reservation at LAX instead (for a small fee, of course).

So I made the drive from LA to San Diego. It didn’t take too long, just about 90 minutes, and the drive was so beautiful! It was right at sunset, I got to look at the ocean for a lot of the drive, and my rental car was nice and comfy!

Training is going well so far, everyone seems really nice and helpful and it really seems like I’ll love this job a lot! The office is pretty close to my hotel, which is also pretty close to the ocean! I got to go to the beach this evening after work, but I’ll post pictures of that later. I think that I’ll be coming out here one more time in the near future, but I would be totally ok making lots of trips out here for work! I love San Diego!
