I must say, I did pretty well with my September goal to explore more! I got out and did a lot of fun things and had a blast!! But now it’s a new month, and that means it’s time to focus on another area of my life- just general happiness.
Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t think that I’m unhappy. I’m actually a very happy person! I smile constantly (seriously, people at work ask my why I’m smiling all the time… I just can’t help it!) and I’m very happy with the little life I am living! But, there is always room for improvement, and I can definitely be more mindful about being happy in the little, every day things.
One thing I started doing for October in my bullet journal is to write down 3 little things every day that make me happy. It can be literally anything. Some I’ve written down so far are giving myself a nice manicure, hearing the birds chirping in the trees, giggling at dumb jokes in The Office, and talking to my dad on the phone.
What are some little things that make you happy? Write them down and keep a list for October along with me- I bet you’ll have a hard time just picking 3 things a day!
